The Supervisory Program Manager will direct the work of subordinate employees for more than one program supporting external services customers within the Product Services Group which will include a mix of routine and complex projects/programs. The work of the organization directly impacts the operational availability of the National Airspace System, Department of Homeland Security Surveillance and Communication systems and infrastructure of other customers of the FAA Logistics Center.

Duties

The Supervisory Program Manager will strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives; develop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement; maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance; oversee multiple project teams, ensuring program goals are reached; manage budget and funding channels for maximum productivity. Plan and communicate the organization's vision and objectives; set priorities; assign tasks and responsibilities; monitor and evaluate performance; coach and develop employee capabilities; approve leave; and take, recommend, or approve corrective/disciplinary actions as appropriate.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
  • Successful completion of a security investigation may be required.
  • A one-year supervisor/managerial probationary period may be required.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the FV-J (FG/GS-14) level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level, FV-I (FG/GS-13). Specialized experienceis experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.Specialized Experienceincludes Planning, assigning, and evaluating the work of subordinate staff; Leading, directing, and managing various issues and services; providing expert technical advice and guidance on Program Management policies, procedures, and customer service delivery; executing strategic planning and special initiatives that affect the effectiveness and efficiency of groupwide programs and services.Quality Ranking Factor (QRF): It was determined that a Well Qualified candidate will possess a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification (please upload certification).Applicants should provide examples of Specialized Experience in their Work History. Qualifications must be met by the closing date of the announcement.
