As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.Serves as the Program Manager (Operations Manager) for the Product Services Group (AJW-L500) within the FAA Logistics Center.
Duties
The incumbent provides leadership to a highly technical work force ensuring the highest quality products and services are provided to FAA Logistics Center customers worldwide. The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution of technical services for multiple organizations in various Federal Agencies, to include The Federal Aviation Administration, Customs and Border Protection, The Forest Service, The Department of Defense, and others. These services include, but are not limited to, the delivery of robust engineering, provisioning and inventory management services to support integrated logistics planning, production, systems acquisition, research, operational sustainment, and life cycle support planning. The professional, complex and sophisticated programs and systems managed by the incumbent provide critical support required for systems' and facilities' operation worldwide. These systems directly affect the general public, impact the general aviation community, and are often tied to the security of the nation.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position at the FV-K (FG/GS-15) level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level, FV-J (FG/GS-14). Specialized experienceis experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.Specialized Experience includes experience coordinating technical program objectives with management Officials, employees and customers on strategies to support customer requirements through advanced concepts in logistics, supply chain fulfillment, acquisition, software procurement, hardware procurement, provisioning; creating new solutions and policy interpretations as situations requires; briefing senior management regarding program technical requirements, costs, and schedule; experience with one or more of electronic principles and practices, performance and design characteristics of surveillance, communications, system modeling and simulation, jamming techniques and equipment, overall engineering principles and practices; providing guidance and instruction, internally and externally, addressing complex issues across multiple projects, programs, and/or functional areas; collaborating with managers to acquire and allocate resources to complete activities within established schedules and budgetary requirements; making program decisions consistent with corporate values, culture and vision; participating in the development of strategic plans and in the strategic decision making process.ANDQuality Ranking Factor (QRF): Well qualified candidates will demonstrate each of the following within their resume:1) Experience leading a highly technical workforce including engineers and/or information technology-related employees.2) Application of Project Management Professional (and/or) Lean Six Sigma principles and procedures.3) Experience in the delivery logistics support services.Applicants should include examples of specialized experience in their work history.
