You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Operations and Compliance Division, Logistics Readiness Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR PEARL HARBOR.
Duties
You will manage the program to provide the unit commander an assessment of the unit's ability to perform key logistics processes by ensuring standardized, repeatable, technically compliant process execution.
You will schedule compliance inspections of logistics readiness divisions.
You'll determine the effectiveness of transportation management programs via compliance inspection - identify deficiencies, analyze them, track them in a database, determine causes, recommend corrective actions, and follow up to ensure success.
You will assess and revise policies and procedures as needed to find ways to improve quality, timeliness, and efficiency of transportation programs that could impact the organization, installation, command, or agency.
You will provide program analysis capability for the commander and management officials to measure the current status of the logistics readiness programs against planned objectives.
You will conduct extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual transactions and patterns, assembles retrieved information into different formats to meet different requirements.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a knowledge of a wide-range of logistics readiness and transportation management principles, concepts, and methodologies of operations sufficient to analyze and resolve problems, and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of transportation management programs ensuring acceptability of logistics readiness operations. I apply a knowledge of transportation policy and procedures to conduct inspections of ground transportation and traffic management ensuring compliance of transportation transactions, packing/crating, or movement of personnel and equipment. I have experience applying established quality assurance techniques, directives, and requirements to perform assessments of key transportation and logistics readiness processes ensuring standardized, repeatable, and technically compliance process execution and offer recommendations to correct unsatisfactory conditions or trends identified. I have experience utilizing various transportation management computer systems (e.g. CMOS, Syncada-Power Track, OLVIMIS, DAS, etc) to compile accurate data/statistics requiring conducting extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual transactions and patterns; substantial analysis and interpretation of data, and compiling that information into different formats to meet differing transportation logistics readiness requirements. I also have experience communicating both orally and in writing with all levels of personnel, including key managers, higher-headquarters, and operating officials. Examples of Specialized Experience may include: 1) Determine the effectiveness of Transportation Management programs and their relationship to Logistics readiness via compliance inspections, with a focus on ground transportation and traffic management; 2) Participate in the conduction of in-depth value stream reviews and/or root cause analysis, in order to assess and revise policies and procedures to improve quality, timeliness, and efficiency of transportation programs; 3) Provide program analysis in order to measure the status of the logistical readiness programs against planned transportation management objectives; 4) Analyze transportation data and information sufficient to develop various reports and presentations on the status of transportation logistics readiness; and 5) Identify, analyze and track transportation deficiencies, with a focus on ground transportation, traffic management, and logistics readiness, recommending corrective action, and ensuring corrections were successful.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
I have successfully completed a related master's or equivalent related graduate degree
OR
I have successfully completed two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a related master's degree.
