The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Installation Deployment Officer (IDO), Wing and focal point for the War Reserve Material (WRM) program for the 70th Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Wing (70 ISRW). Responsible for the readiness requirements for mobility, reception, war and contingency plans. Manages and maintains current WRM authorization documents.

Duties

Serves as the Installation Deployment Officer (IDO) with planning, organizing and implementing the Installation Deployment Program for the 70 ISRW. Determines capability of the wing to support contingency taskings. Responsible for providing training, resources, and systems to ensure the efficient and effective operation installation and Wing deployment processes. Manages and monitors the Wing War Reserve Material (WRM) Program.

  • All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
  • Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to SCI, other Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Special Access Programs to perform the duties of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.

  • This position has been designated as a Testing Designated Position. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission.
  • The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
  • Employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings and weekends and may be subject to recall for contingency or expeditionary support.
  • This position meets all requirements as a category 4 designation, and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization. This position must be removed from the Ready Reserve and CAN NOT become a member of the Ready Reserve.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of logistics management operations that involve wing-level planning, coordinating, or evaluating contingency support, logistics readiness deployment and execution, and war reserve materiel management, base/expeditionary support, sustainment, redeployment, mobility bags/small arms weapons, and logistics command and control; knowledge of Integrated Deployment Systems (IDS), which include logistics management information systems necessary for planning and executing deployment operations (e.g., Logistics Module (LOGMOD), Deliberate Crisis Action Planning and Execution Systems (DCAPES), AEF UTC Reporting Tool) or similar systems. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating contingency support, logistics readiness deployment and execution, and war reserve materiel management, base/expeditionary support, sustainment, redeployment, mobility bags/small arms weapons, and logistics command and control. 2. Knowledge of Integrated Deployment Systems (IDS) which include logistics management information systems necessary for planning and executing deployment operations (e.g., Logistics Module (LOGMOD), Deliberate Crisis Action Planning and Execution Systems (DCAPES), AEF UTC Reporting Tool). 3. Skill in analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting logistics readiness factors, and formulating procedural solutions to problems. 4. Ability to integrate the separate functions in planning or implementing a logistics management program. 5. Ability to identify, analyze and translate complex information, make appropriate judgments, and evaluate options concerning base readiness. 6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
