About the Position: Works under the general supervision of the Chief, Engineering Services Division (ESD), Public Works (PW), who makes work assignments in terms of general purpose and objectives, provides guidance on policies and priorities and is available for assistance on unusually complex problems or where significant deviation from established practices and guidelines are required. The work is performed independently within established guidelines.
Duties
Provide administrative support in areas to include overall office and personnel management functions.
Serve as the alternate Government Purchase Card Official.
Serve as Department of Public Works (DPW) Organization Defense Travel Administrator (ODTA).
Serves as the Division point of contact on personnel issues.
Responsible for coordinating Division personnel actions with directorate employee services office and track all aspects related to personnel issues in the division.
Responsible for directorate-wide training forecast, registration and billing for training classes.
Provide full range of technical support related to managing automated systems.
Perform administrative duties on automated systems.
Requirements

- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

To qualify at the GS-06 Grade Level
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing clerical and/or administration support in organization; Working with computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, database programs and office equipment; and organizing the activities of an office including maintaining schedules, arranging conferences/meetings, preparing documents, and responding to customer inquiries. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
To qualify at the GS-07 Grade Level
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing office automation systems to prepare personnel actions or other administrative requests; make travel arrangements for employees; managing records and multiple suspense dates to ensure timely completion of projects and accuracy. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
