About the Position: The incumbent serves as a Logistics Management Specialist. This position is assigned to the DCS Operations, Plans and Integrated G3/5, Office of the G3/5 Operations Division (ED), APG MD.
Duties
Serves on teams analyzing specific readiness problems in systems, operational readiness and evaluation studies.
Assists team leader in performing the detailed monthly readiness performance analysis for systems/units worldwide.
Compiles, interprets and analyzes data provided by maintenance and supply Logistic Assistance Representatives, Materiel Status Reports, Logistic Assistance Program reports and other source data.
Makes recommendation for solving readiness problems to team leader/branch chief.
Performs detailed readiness analyses of selected systems not meeting DA establish Mission Capable (MC) goals.
Visits units with CECOM fielded systems on a scheduled or as needed TDY basis.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance, or access, for duration of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- This position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- Identifies problems, causing systems to be Not Mission Capable (NMC) and or units not to achieve assigned readiness rating.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Assist with evaluating product support needs for readiness of equipment performance; 2) Perform data analysis studies as related to equipment/system not meeting Mission Capable (MC) goals; 3) Developing written reports for evaluation results/improvement and recommendation for equipment and product readiness. 4) Optimize resources to accomplish project/program efficiency within established schedules. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11).
