About the Position: Incumbent is responsible for providing technical and administrative support to the Force Design Division (FDD). Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, taskings, administrative support, automation and suspense control systems, action item rosters, correspondence at all levels of management, training, budget, automation, etc.
Duties
As an Administrative Officer, you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list:
Represent Force Design Division (FDD) and the Director in multiple external forums with CAC, TRADOC, and the HQDA Staff.
Assist the Director by providing operational support within FDD by conducting and scheduling meeting preparation, preparation of meeting facilities, and provides executive summaries as required.
Maintain and update the FDD MS Teams SharePoint site that provides reference materials, Force Design Update portal access and contract rosters.
Review and analyze administrative directives and policies issued by the CPAC, CAC G-1, or the Director.
Maintain liaison with the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC) and serves as advisor and point of contact for FDD supervisors on civilian personnel matters.
Oversee FDD and FFID enterprise Automated Time and Attendance Production System (ATAAPS).
Serve as the Security manager and administers classified document security, coordinates personnel in and out security briefings, mandator SAEDA and annual security briefings.
Identify information systems requirements, resolves problems, and determines status of Force Design Division (FDD) and Fielded Force Integration Directorate (FFID) enterprise’s IT systems and resultant changes to the status.
Perform duties as the Information Assurance Manager.
Serve as the Defense Travel System Coordinator and level 5 reviewer with elevated “Super -User” rights.
Serve as the FDD Government Purchase Cardholder.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance throughout the duration of employment.
- Temporary Duty (TDY), approximately 5% of the time.
- Position is subject to regular unscheduled/unplanned overtime.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Work which includes demonstrated experience and proficiency with management principles and standardized administrative practices and procedures to conduct studies of directorates administrative work processes. Possess experience and proficiency with administrative, personnel and budgeting regulations as well as office operating procedures. Possess demonstrated experience in applying fact finding, investigative techniques. Possess experience and skill in office automation and the various office software programs.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this position you may qualify if your education meets the definition below:
Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
