You will serve as a Telecommunications Specialist in the Communication Systems and Networks Test & Evaluation (T&E) Branch (AN08600) under the organizational control of the Mission Systems Test and Evaluation Division (MSTED, AN08000), of the Naval Test Wing Atlantic, NAVTESTWINGLANT NWCF.

Duties

You will serve as a Telecommunications Specialist within Communication Systems and Networks Branch providing technical direction, guidance, and oversight of communication systems in support of various platforms. You will develop test planning documentation and provide execution of ground and flight systems. You will collect and analyze data and develop test reporting documentation. You will be the technical point of contact for the day-to-day operation of assigned communication systems for assigned platform.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing expert level knowledge of communication relay systems, data-link communications systems such as the TCDL, the MIDS, CEC, MIDS JTRS, and TTNT T&E of the systems include ground and flight testing of the systems installed on various platforms, as well as operating the test equipment and facilities necessary for execution. 2) Fabricating, using, troubleshooting and maintaining platform integration laboratories 3) Analyzing and evaluating operation of system software and networks on the various development and integration efforts occurring on all aircraft platforms.
