This position is located at Bureau of Fiscal Service, Deputy Commissioner Financing & Operations, Wholesale Securities Services, Division of Business Systems, Branch as assigned. As a Supervisory Financial Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for planning, development, & implementation of project goals and identifying/resolving project related problems.
Duties
As a Supervisory Financial Systems Analyst, you will:
Supervise and review work of subordinates; review position descriptions; evaluate workforce needs and handle hiring actions as needed; counsel employees; work closely with Human Resources, the National Treasury Employees Union, and other parties on actions impacting the employee; and perform related duties as necessary.
Make sure the Occupational and Safety and Health, Equal Employment, and Internal Control principles, the Labor Agreement, and the policies and procedures set forth by Treasury and the Bureau are followed. This responsibility is carried out by the supervisor regarding all management decisions and courses of action undertaken within the organization.
Identify developmental and training needs of employees, providing or arranging for needed development and training. Ensures auction support staff is appropriately trained in auction duties before assigning to schedule rotation to independently perform duties. This includes being fully trained on contingency procedures.
Perform key system support roles in all Debt Financing Operations activities: monitor automated system job activity, supervisor technical staff, and/or provide technical support. Participate in the announcement, auction, and settlement activities supporting the sale of Treasury securities.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized Experience For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Experience analyzing and developing solutions to enhance organizational, operational or process efficiencies in a manual or automated environment such as working with a financial system; AND
- Experience coordinating, leading, and prioritizing work for employees; AND
- Experience presenting findings to varied audiences, exchanging ideas and presenting recommendations.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
