The College of International Security Affairs' mission is to educate joint warfighters, civilian national security leaders, and partner nation counterparts in critical thinking to inform national strategy and globally integrated operations, under conditions of disruptive change, to prevail across the continuum of competition and war, with a special emphasis on irregular warfare.
Duties
Principal advisor to College leadership for special events, ceremonies, social functions, programs, and other activities for high-level delegations in support of the College’s research, outreach, and programs for the academic year.
Responsible for event planning and management for ceremonies, conferences, lectures and special events.
Coordinates with co-host and other NDU activities to manage logistical support, security, audio visual (AV), seating plans, escort duties, official honors and coordination with guest and their executive agents, graphics and other support.
Lead event coordinator, in support of College of International Security Affairs (CISA) Leadership, for high-level visits by US and foreign delegations.
Manages the logistics for the College of International Security Affairs (CISA) Chancellor's Lecture Series Guest Speaker Program.
Manages the College of International Security Affairs (CISA) Official Representational Funds (ORF), Student Activity Funds, NDU Foundation Requests and Petty Cash Programs.

- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- Obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
Qualifications
You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience must be documented in your resume.
Specialized Experience is defined as experience defined as executing a full range of special events/official functions to include: 1) providing advice and guidance to management on event planning; 2) coordinating activities such as leadership visits, special events and conferences; 3) applying policies and procedures; AND 4) identifying and recommending business process improvements.
Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Education
GS-11 SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M.
