You will serve as a Shipfitter Leader in the Structural Shop (Code 920), Production Resources Department Manager (Code 901), Production Resources Department (Code 900) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Duties

You will demonstrate proper work methods and provide on the job training for workers. You will correct improper shipfitter work methods and ensure assigned work procedures are being followed. You will ensure safe work practices and good housekeeping while assuring timely tool, equipment, material, and procedure availability. You will utilize information from blueprints, sketches, and work documents to plan and execute work tasks. You will ensure workers have the necessary plans, procedures, blueprints, instructions, and tools to perform their work operations. You will maintain computer records of expended man hours and perform the review and documentation for completed jobs.
