You will serve as a SHIPFITTER SUPERVISOR in the Structural Shop (Code 920), Production Resources Department Manager (Code 901), Production Resources Department (Code 900) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Duties

You will be responsible to simultaneously deliver cost, schedule and quality performance to customers. You will implement high performance organization attributes as learned through training and understanding and deployment of the shipyard Strategic Plan. You will monitor the status of assigned work in relation to the overall scheduled requirements including unanticipated or emergency requirements. You will maintain accurate records of time expended and progress son assigned jobs. You will lead a team of trade journeymen in the performance of complex repairs and alterations including but not limited to manufacture, repair, installation, test and inspection of components.

• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
• I am willing and able to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 45 pounds in weight.
