You will serve as a Supply Technician in the Inventory Management Branch, NAS/JRB New Orleans Detachment of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE.

Duties

You will process stow transactions into N-ERP using information provided on material movement documents returned from the storage branch. You will determine supply and financial codes for receipt documents using written guides and acquired knowledge. You will prepare and submit report of discrepancies (ROD) to Inventory Control Points. You will have knowledge of stock record maintenance and receipt due/control files in order to maintain N-ERP files.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least of Supply Technician experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing processing receipt and stowage transactions into a financial system such as Naval Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) for stock material by editing data entries on various types of receipt documents. Determine if changes are required to update the financial system with material locations and process changes into the financial system as required. Examples of specialized experience may include 1) Prepare and submit report of discrepancies to inventory control points; 2) Maintain accurate inventory and receipt control files by ensuring the accuracy and timely processing of receipt of transaction into financial database; 3) Edit data entries on various types of control documents such as material release/receipt documents, material movement documents and/or inspection reports.
