About the Position: This position is located in Defense Health Headquarters, Medical Affairs, Clinical Support Division and it is located in Falls Church,Virginia or San Antonio, Texas.
Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized.
Duties
Develop, recommend, monitor and advise on policies and patient support services pertaining to Medical-Forensic Management of Sexual Assault (MFMSA).
Coordinate with the Department of Justice, U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Laboratory, and other professional organizations to ensure that the DHA’s medical education and services achieve established goals and objectives.
Exercise delegated authority to oversee the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of the DHA’s MFMSA Program.
Has direct oversight of the Sexual Assault Medical Forensic Examiner (SAMFE) training program.
Manages the development of policy changes in response to changes in levels of appropriations or other legislated changes.
Develop, execute, and oversee the process for approval of travel in support of the DHA MFMSA Program.
Responsible for three strategic objectives to include the development, tracking and analysis of performance data.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) analyzing health care delivery systems, 2) assisting in the development of policies, 3) providing contract oversight, AND 4) assisting in the oversight of training programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
