This position is part of the Haskell Indian Nations University, Bureau of Indian Education. As a Program Support Assistant you will perform a wide range of administrative work within the Facilities Management Division.
Duties
As a Program Support Assistant GS-0303-6/7, your typical work assignments may include the following:
Serve as administrative and technical support assistant to the Facilities Division.
Assist with administrative work related to drafting correspondence, record keeping, filing, unit planning and other related tasks.
Maintain automated systems or shop order ticket systems for proper handling of controlled correspondence and action items.
Provide orientation for new staff employees working in Facilities.
Make travel arrangements, prepare travel authorizations and vouchers using travel software programs such as Travel Manager, Concur Travel or similar.
Utilize a government charge card to make micro-purchases. Maintain all financial files such as travel documents, purchase orders, and general ledger accounts.
Serve as a timekeeper for employee payroll. Utilize QuickTime to input and review time/attendance. Answer employees' questions concerning pay, hours of duty and leave.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet the qualification requirements contained in the OPM Standards. For this position, they are listed below.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
GS-6: 1-year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-5 level in the Federal service. Examples include: Assists in maintaining calendars, schedules and coordinates meetings; maintain automated systems to track correspondence and action items; responsible for the maintenance and disposition of office records; assisting staff with travel authorizations, reservations, and vouchers; serves as a timekeeper; using a computer to produce a wide range of documents such as emails, standard forms, memoranda, letters, etc., ensuring accuracy, format and grammatical correctness; provides clerical support related to budget functions; maintains office supplies and other related materials and services.
GS-7: 1-year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-5 level in the Federal service. Examples include: Independently provides administrative advice, guidance, and support for administrative matters such as agency procedures, official correspondence, and coordinating a wide variety to tasks; maintains calendars, scheduling and coordinating meetings; maintain automated systems to track correspondence and action items; responsible for maintenance and disposition of office records; assisting staff with travel authorizations, reservations, and vouchers; serves as a timekeeper; using a computer to produce a wide range of documents such as emails, standard forms, memoranda, letters, etc., ensuring accuracy, format and grammatical correctness; provides clerical support related to budget functions; maintains office supplies and other related materials and services.

Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year (52 weeks) of service at the next lower grade level.
