Duties

Provides direct oversight and program management of the grab and go food operations aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii.  Reporting directly to the Director, Food and Hospitality, general duties will include the performance of complex food concept management functions in accordance with established policies, procedures and guidelines.  Serves as technical analyst in the development, planning, training, managing, and oversight of the specialized area.  Participates in the development, execution, and compliance of policy, operating and financial standards, marketing promotions, facility design, food concepts, and training programs. Identifies and recommends changes in operating procedures where necessary to ensure desired results are obtained.  Using technical skills and knowledge, analyzes current installation food programs, facilities and equipment, personnel abilities, and financial results of operation and offers recommendations for change and improvements.

Qualifications

Four years of work experience in the commercial food and beverage industry that demonstrates the knowledge of business practices, program management, financial principles, branded concepts, and administration procedures.  Must have the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of policies, procedures, promotions, and installation programs. Must be willing to travel.  Must possess oral and written communication skills. A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related field or equivalent experience is desired.  Current driver’s license is required.
