Duties
This position is organizationally aligned under the Rehabilitation, Extended and Community Care (RECC) Division at the Milwaukee VA Medical Center. The Program Support Assistant (PSA) provides administrative support to all staff assigned to Home Telehealth (HT). Duties are varied, non-routine, and consist of managing data and coordinating services for Veterans in HT. The PSA acts as a consultant for administrative matters and serves as a point of contact for Veterans, medical center staff, Veteran Integrated Service Networks (VISN) staff, community agencies, and various others who contact this office.
Duties Include:
Provides administrative support to all staff assigned to Home Telehealth.
Collects and tracks statistical information to support program operations.
Utilizes software applications to draw information from a variety of sources in order to prepare reports, assist in planning, reviewing and reporting data, and statistical results of program studies.
Collects, enters and manages patient and program data.
Attains & maintains excellent computer skills for a variety of software applications.
Maintains home calendars, coordinates meetings, conference calls, orders supplies and orders and delivers educational materials to other areas within the Medical Center.
Attains & maintains competency in the operation, set up and troubleshooting of Home Telehealth equipment.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, normal business hours

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: Must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade, GS-5, level in Federal service that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience includes: Possessing the ability to type 40 words per minute and using various Microsoft Office programs, database programs and office equipment. Providing administrative support to a team, including maintaining appointment calendars, coordinating meetings, conference calls, and ordering supplies. Assisting in departmental problem solving and planning alternative solutions. Preparing reports, assisting in planning, reviewing and reporting data, and statistical results.
TYPING PROFICIENCY: This position requires the ability to type 40 WPM.
There is no educational substitution for the GS-6 level.
