Duties

Serves as a Strategic Analyst and Strategic Communications Analyst for high-level DLA initiatives. Develop DLA strategic initiative polices, resolves critical problems or issues related to policy application, and coordinates major program functions within the Agency and Major Subordinate Commands (MSCs). Conduct and oversee special analysis of critical issues related to a variety of resources to carry out missions and functions in the areas of logistics, research, development, acquisition, testing, and evaluation of logistics programs. Develop and implement programs based upon legislative direction, strategic guidance from DoD and DLA leadership and the Director, partnerships with industry and other Joint Commands and Service acquisition leaders. Develop and provide strategic presentations, communications, and timely Agency responses to convey DLA's position in support of our on-going mission. Produces a vast assortment of support materials to include preparing speeches, major briefings, interviews, letters, memoranda, and other means of communications.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Strategic Analyst, your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive, minimum qualifications, and other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Serving as a strategic analyst conducting special analysis of complex issues and developing solutions. Planning and executing high-level communications initiatives and internal strategies for an Agency workforce. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
