Duties
Serve as the proponent and is responsible for developing and coordinating statistical analysis for the Army ROTC Officer Accession Program for organization, Accessions Command, TRADOC, and HQDA.
Uses advanced mathematical and computer techniques to solve complex accessions, production, and projection problems for the organization.
Keep abreast of current developments in operations research/systems analysis techniques, modeling and simulation techniques, graphics, and computer technology.
Establish liaison/strong-working relationships with counterparts in other organizations and other headquarters who have an interest in studies and analyses.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Temporary Duty (TDY), approximately 20% of the time.
- May be required to complete one year probationary period.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Work that includes advance techniques developing methodologies to determine alternatives to current and future operations in support of officer accession programs, practices, and policies. Provide familiarity in a wide range of operations research and systems analysis methodologies and techniques applied to military accessions-related problems. Perform work that involves the mastery and responsibility for quantitative/qualitative research and analysis with Intensive familiarity of methods as applied to qualitative measurements and applications. Conduct a variety of complex duties requiring the use of scientific and mathematical principles, methods and techniques to support operational analysis, planning, coordination and implementation actions in the areas of operations research, mathematical or statistical theories, principles and practices in order to use theories, principles, concepts and methods such as statistical analysis, computer modeling, decision theory, regression analysis and other advanced mathematical/statistical techniques appropriate for the organization.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
Education

you must meet the qualification requirement using both education and experience. No substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Education degree in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
