This position is located in U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), Assistant Commandant for Capabilities (CG-7), Policy & Competency Development Division (CG-7311), Washington, DC.
Duties
This position serves as a technical advisor within the Office of Boat Forces and represents the office on various Coast Guard and interagency work groups, and other technical bodies focused on capability and/or the Boat Forces Reserve Program.
Requirements
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Time-in-grade requirements must be met by closing date.
- A one year probationary period maybe required.
Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-13: Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lowest grade level (GS-12 level) in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Specialized experience includes experience that involved extensive operational experience in Boat Forces Contracting and Reserve Force Program AND completion of Level II Contracting Officer Representative (COR) training requirements.
