About the Position: This is a PERMANENT position located at the US Army Recruiting Command, 3rd Recruiting BDE, Fort Knox, KY.

Duties

Coordinates market analysis with all elements of the Brigade and Battalion staffs. Provides the Commander with BDE / BN level assessments of market to integrate, synchronize and coordinate efforts of the BDE staff and subordinate BN staffs. Supervises one to three employees in the Brigade S2 Operational research / analysis effort. Primary Advisor to the Commander on Operational level research Conducts Market research, data collection and information synthesis as it pertains to recruiting market, mission analysis and mission assignment. Analyzes and recommends the distribution and allocation Battalion resources to achieve assigned recruiting missions Conducts and leads intelligence preparation of the market for the Brigade Commander in support of the eight BN Commander’s missions

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
  • Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) required 25% of the time

BASIC REQUIREMENT: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Operations Research; or a degree with at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics, with at least 3 of the 24 semester hours in calculus. (Note: You must submit a copy of your transcripts for verification). In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: To qualify for this position, your resume must show at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as work in the Federal service which includes: participate in studies of significant complexity; develop mathematical algorithms; analyze data using probability statistics; provide general guidance on analytical design; prepare periodic and/or recurring reports. This definition of experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service, GS-11. OR Education: Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Only degrees from an accredited college or university recognized by the Department of Education are acceptable to meet positive education requirements. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
