About the Position: This position is with the National Guard Bureau, Joint Staff, NGB-J3/7, DOMES OPS & Force Development Director, Arlington, VA. About the Surrounding Area: Situated in Northern Virginia on the south bank of the Potomac River directly across from Washington D.C. Arlington is headquarters to many departments and agencies of the federal government, including the Department of Defense and is the location of many national memorials and museums.

Duties

Serve as a senior advisor to the CNGB. Subject matter expert on emergency management preparedness and security measures governing and protecting the National Guard's most sensitive information, activities, technology, and operations. Administer applicable portions of the Chief of Staff Security Education and Awareness program to ensure a knowledgeable work force.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position is designated Key (2) and considered mission essential as work performed by the employee may directly bear on the functions, initiatives, and operations of the Installation and the NGB.
  • The employee may be required to remain on duty or report for duty during severe weather or other installation closings or emergencies and may be required to work irregular hours in crises situations.
