About the Position: Incumbent will serve as a Management Assistant in the Directorate of Production Engineering, Office of the Director.
Duties
Maintain various records, files and databases pertaining to assigned programs.
Responsible for several administrative functions such as maintaining manning documents and on-board strength reports, submitting requests for personnel actions, preparing and coordinating awards, and submitting/maintaining travel documents.
Perform special projects on a variety of issues and provide written or oral reports of findings and recommendations.
Assist higher graded employees with major directorate studies and projects.
Responsible for the coordination of training information, schedules and costs for all types of training including mandatory, technical, developmental, duty and non-duty training.

Specialized Experience for GS-6: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) Preparing correspondence in accordance with appropriate regulatory guidance; AND 2) Consolidating data in various formats, such as tables, graphs, or charts.
Specialized Experience for GS-7: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) Preparing correspondence in accordance with appropriate regulatory guidance and recommending changes; 2) Consolidating and reviewing a variety of narrative and statistical data to prepare reports; AND 3) Utilizing automated systems to research information, and compile data to prepare presentations and reports.
Time in Grade Requirement for GS-6: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
Time in Grade Requirement for GS-7: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
