This position is part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The incumbent will be responsible for a Program Analyst supporting the Requirements Implementation Branch (RIB) Chief through management of operations and support functions of the Deputy Director for Command-and-Control Integration (DDC5I), Directorate of Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Cyber (DJ6).
Duties
As a PROGRAM ANALYST at the GS-0343-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Serving as an operational and technical expert responsible for planning, execution and analysis of assessments and test and evaluations in support of Mission Partner Requirements Implementation Branch Chief and the Coalition Interoperability Division (CID) Chief.
Participating in development of strategic plans and policies supporting the Department's joint C2 family of programs, systems, and capabilities and how those systems integrate with NATO forces.
Coordinating U.S. information sharing and data exchange policies to support mission partner integration during operations.
Providing inputs to doctrinal publications to support US and NATO C2 interoperability.
Managing day-to-day operations and coordination with NATO.
Assisting with preparing, reviewing, and tracking NATO C2 forums, working groups, and published polices.

- Incumbent may be required to work other than normal duty hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and will be compensated within the scope/guidelines of government civilian employment.
- Incumbent must perform occasional travel away from the normal duty station and must be willing and able to travel on military and commercial aircraft, vessels, and/or vehicles.
Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-GS14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
Applying oral and written communication skills to the preparation and presentation of strategic and other plans, reports, charts/graphs, briefings, and correspondence to effectively produce and defend studies and reports;
Utilizing and applying qualitative and/or quantitative methods sufficient to plan, assess, and improve the effectiveness of management and operational processes, functions, and systems;
Applying expert analytical skills for the assessment, synchronization, and integration of the command joint and partner warfighting mission;
Reviewing current DoD and/or Joint Staff policies to make recommended changes based on the continually evolving and modernizing IT system.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
