Duties
Perform maintenance on facilities, campground sites and trails using hand and power, collects trash and assist higher graded maintenance workers or tradesmen in the performance of their work.
Operate motor vehicles weighting up to 10,000 pounds (such as pick-up trucks, panel trucks, flatbed trucks, etc.) to transport materials and personnel in a variety of traffic and road conditions.
Operates large, complex riding lawn mowers that have multiple or independently controlled cutting decks.
Cuts trees and heavy vegetation with axe, chainsaw or powered brush cutters; stacks heavy logs, lumber, and sacks of cement, etc. Receives, unloads and processes incoming shipments according to established procedures. Reports discrepancies and damage to others responsible for such items.
Operates a light truck to pick up supplies and to transport materials to and from work sites while assisting on project work.
Cleans and services chemical toilets, restrooms, and other campground or visitor facilities. Makes minor repairs as needed and refers problems to higher graded workers.
Loads and unloads supplies and materials from trucks, trailers, dollies, etc.
You will perform laboring duties that require significant manual skill, prior work experience or training, physical effort and operate light duty motor vehicles weighing up to 10,000 pounds.

Screen Out: Perform the full range of laborer (MVO) duties including operating heavy power equipment, such as power lawn mowers, hand power equipment, such as chain saws, jackhammers, and a variety of types of common hand tools and light power tools (such as, shovels, rakes, lawn edging equipment, circular saws, electric drills, etc.), to maintain buildings, grounds, roads, and trails. Able to operate light duty motor vehicles weighing up to 10,000 pounds (such as pick-up trucks, panel trucks, flatbed trucks, etc.) to safely transport personnel, materials, or equipment to work sites. Able to dig ditches and trenches where soil is hard and compact; break up pavement or concrete; mix and pour concrete, asphalt, and hot / cold mix; fill and level holes in damaged roads. Load and unload supplies and materials from trucks, trailers, dollies, etc. Paint picnic tables and signs. Trim trees and shrubbery. Perform equipment maintenance on mowers and other similar equipment. Perform janitorial duties. Lift and move objects including furniture's weighing over 50 pounds, and in some cases, carrying 80 to 100 pounds (or more) with assistance. Able to use a computer, maintain records, and perform arithmetic calculations. Work under supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who reviews my work for completion.
