This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position:
The incumbent serves as a Logistics Management Specialist for Integrated Logistics Support Center. This position is Communications Security Logistics Activity Mission Support Division (LGB) at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
Duties
Perform Pre-Letter of Request (LOR) tasks.
Develop Standard Request for Information (RFI) Packages for non PEO/PM managed items to include pricing and availability; capabilities, specs
and performance data using a Total Package Approach (TPA).
Develops Letter of Offer and Acceptance Data (LOAD) for Basic cases, Amendments, Modifications, Pricing and Availability cases and enters data
into DSAMS
Prepare internal Case Development Manpower Worksheet and Annual Budget Plan.
Perform Logistics Support tasks and Perform Security Assistance Financial Reviews.
Perform services such as: Configuration Management, Weapons systems management, Systems integration for assigned cases.
Prepare and submit Contract Requirements Package (CRP)/acquisition requirements package (ARP)
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance, or access, for duration of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- This position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Assisting with drafting Pre-Letter of Request (LOR) to assist in the acquisition of major weapon systems; 2) Assisting in the cradle to grave initiatives to include schedule of work, cost and payment schedule in support of a logistical program; and 3) Assisting with developing life cycle logistics support initiatives to lower overall life cycle systems cost. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11).
