This position is in the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, 1300 Pennsylvania Ave., NW., Washington, DC, in the Office of Security, Office of the Director, at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
Duties
Formulates long-range policies and develops and implements strategies and management guidelines for complex and changing information technology systems.
Participates on USAID, Federal, and non-governmental committees relative to Information Technology (IT) security policy and technology planning.
Presents briefings on IT policy initiatives and project status, standards developed, and solutions to critical issues and recommendations concerning long-range IT plans to top levels of management and special interest groups.
Makes recommendations for resolving IT issues and requirements. Remains informed of changing and emerging technology.
Ensures the high value asset information systems are updated, protected, and maintained in accordance with the applicable standards.
Develops policies, guidelines, and standards for the planning, development, integration, implementation, and evaluation of information systems and the cyber security programs for the Office of Security.
Requirements

Specialized Experience:
GS-15: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Examples of qualifying specialized experience at the next lower level for this position includes: a) Maintaining the components of an enterprise network or systems; b) Assisting with High Value Asset (HVA) systems to ensure access control and data protection; c) Formulating long-range policies to implement strategies and management guidelines for complex and changing information technology systems; AND d) Providing administrative and technical supervision necessary to accomplish the work of the unit or organization.
