Duties
Serves as a combat training analyst in the Training Analysis and Feedback (TAF) Section of the Operations Group, Joint Pacific Multinational Readiness Center (JPMRC) Oahu, Hawaii.
Responsible for collecting, analyzing, tabulating, summarizing (both orally and written) formatting and displaying various combat exercise information.
Use the results of various combat exercises to enhance the training effect on United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) and United States Pacific Command (USPACOM).
Provide accurate and timely input to the After Action Review (AAR) and Take Home Packages (THP).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Incumbent will be a member of one of three teams which will support training on a rotating basis. Therefore, weekend and holiday work will be required.
- Incumbent is required to wear a headset for prolonged periods of time.
- This position requires the incumbent to conduct site visits of training and test sites where vehicles and weapons are managed, tested or fired.
- Incumbent may be required to use protective clothing or gear such as helmets, fragmentation protective vests, safety shoes, goggles, coveralls, and gloves.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing unit performance during or after live-virtual-constructive exercise; participate in After Action Reviews (AAR) for training exercises; and using a computer workstation to monitor audio and/or visual information during a training exercise. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
