Duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC), you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by: Serving as an advisor to the Director of Division of State and Tribal Systems (DSTS) on security matters. Establishing automated data processing (ADP) systems that facilitate overall program operations. Preparing internal and external reports that may include providing audit liaison support to information technology (IT) operations, such as the Federal Information Security Act (FISMA), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and others as directed. Providing direction and oversight in carrying out responsibility for coordinating the implementation of computer systems policy that cuts across program lines.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Basic Qualifications: You must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include all of the following: Assisting stakeholders in developing their HHS certification and accreditation (C&A)/Assessment and Authorization (A&A) and/or Systems. Reviewing requests for funding of child support computer information systems. Reviewing, analyzing, and/or recommending modernizing child support information systems. Conducting periodic reviews of State agency computer systems funded through FFP to ensure compliance with approved Advance Planning Documents (APDs) Documenting experience: IN DESCRIBING YOUR EXPERIENCE, PLEASE BE CLEAR AND SPECIFIC.
