Duties
Provide advice to supported soldiers regarding personnel/pay matters.
Train others on the use of automated systems.
Research and analyze a variety of information sources for personnel requirements.
Resolve pay issues.
Process, audit and edit complex pay actions.
Review military pay account transactions and reports.
Create, update and delete data in a variety of files.
Assure files and records are established and maintained pertaining to personnel, finance and administrative activities.
Provide technical advice.
Develop reports of rejects, trends and statistical material.
Control and monitor suspense files, correspondence files, etc.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- THIS POSITION REQUIRES MEMBERSHIP IN THE US ARMY RESERVE (USAR).
- This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- The duties of this position may require the incumbent to work evenings, nights, holidays, and/or weekends to include modification in shifts and/or tour of duty.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience is defined as performing clerical or administrative tasks such as preparing correspondence; filing and data entry; processing a variety of personnel or pay actions; and interpreting and applying regulatory or procedural requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
