This position is located in the Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Program and Project Management Division (PPMD). The incumbent serves as an Information Technology (IT) project analyst, technology expert, consultant, liaison and solution provider.
Duties
Supports Project Managers with overseeing and coordinating projects, contributing to project planning efforts, preparing and maintaining documentation, reviewing contracts and financials, monitoring project activities, and evaluating overall project performance.
Provides highly specialized technical guidance and solutions to business units relating to current and emerging information technology.
Ensures that OJP manages information and technology assets enterprise-wide to improve decision-making.
Plans and manages IT projects involving interrelated technology specialty areas and multiple stages of the systems development lifecycle.

Specialized Experience for GS-11: Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level. Specialized experience is experience which is in or related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Examples of specialized experience include:
Assists in preparing, reviewing, and/or maintaining project documentation such as project plans, schedules, and budget.
Participates in change management by reviewing project change requests.
Assists in developing IT testing strategies, plans, or scenarios.
Substitution of Education for Experience for GS-11: Education requirements at the GS-11 level may be met by three (3) full academic years of graduate level education or the successful completion of a Ph.D. or LL.M., if related.
Combination of Education and Experience for GS-11: Equivalent combinations of successfully completed education and experience may be used to meet the experience requirements.
Specialized Experience for GS-12: Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level. Specialized experience is experience which is in or related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Examples of specialized experience include:
Prepares, reviews, and maintains project documentation such as IT project plans, schedules, and budget.
Prepares and presents IT project documentation and reports.
Assists in analyzing information systems requirements and integrates subsystems.
Specialized Experience for GS-13: Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level. Specialized experience is experience which is in or related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Examples of specialized experience include:
Plans and/or manages IT projects involving interrelated technology specialty areas and multiple stages of the systems development lifecycle.
Analyzes IT project data and produce insights to optimize performance and minimize risk.
Analyzes information systems requirements and integrates subsystems.
