You will serve as a Materials Handler in the Shipboard Habitability Section, Property Management Branch, of the Administrative/Planning Division, Supply Department of HELICOPTER MARITIME STRIKE WING PAC.
Duties
You will perform a variety of warehousing duties involving receiving, issuing, storing, inventorying and warehousing of assets used for VIP/ceremonial functions, refurbished furniture and plant property.
You will load and unload material from trucks (five ton, semi, and closed vans), utilizing a gasoline or propane forklift or other materials moving equipment.
You will decide on proper sequence of steps, methods, procedures and techniques for the work assigned and completes the work in its order of priority on a timely basis.
You will inspect material and shipping containers for visual damage, verify number of pieces delivered with the number on the delivery paperwork, and document transportation/shipping shortages and damages.
You will operate a variety of material handling equipment in connection with material movement.
You will unload/load and transport material, using proper tie down techniques to secure material and prevent damage during movement.
You will select the proper storage location for the type, size, and weight of material being stored.
You will inspect material and shipping containers for visual damage, perform maintenance and repairs as necessary in order to place material and shipping containers in ready for issue (RFI) condition.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current forklift license.
- This position requires the ability to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 40 pounds in weight.
Qualifications
