About the Position: The position is located at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE), US Army Armor School (USAARMS) 194th Armored Brigade Brigade S-4, Ft. Moore, Georgia 31905. The "Maneuver Center of Excellence" is located 100 miles south of Atlanta and is adjacent to Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Alabama. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Public transportation and free parking is available.

Duties

Informs higher level supervisor of anticipated vacancies, increase in workload, or other circumstances to obtain replacements, temporary help, or additional staff. Serves as lead technical monitor for the supply and logistics portion of the installation support contract. Performs long-range planning to ensure supply capabilities, resources, and services are adequately coordinated with and responsive to the needs of the serviced installation activities. Reviews work schedules of technical monitors and sequence of operations on a weekly, project, or longer basis to assure an even flow and distribution of work, the expeditious handling of priority cases, and the meeting of schedules and deadlines.

Requirements

  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Position has been designated as Key and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization. The incumbent must be exempted from recall to active duty.
  • Subject to completion of 1-year Supervisory probationary

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) procuring supplies for an organization; 2) using supply directives and regulations to provide guidance in supply operations; and 3) verifying contractors are in compliance with the provision of the supply contracts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Managing Human ResourcesOral CommunicationSupply PlanningTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
