About the Position: Serves as a Supply Officer and principal representative to the Infantry Training Brigade S-4 OIC with responsibility for assistance in the development, execution, management and program oversight of the Brigade supply programs to ensure maximum utilization of supply resources.
Duties
Resolve property accountability variances by coordinating with multiple Property Book Offices, organizational elements, and higher echelons.
Manage adjustment documents for lost, damaged, or destroyed government property to include statement of charges and financial liability investigation of property losses (FLIPLs) within the Brigade.
Monitor the organization’s execution of the logistics budget in order to recommend the appropriate transfer of funds to meet priority requirements.
Measure the efficiency of supply functions to ensure that supplies and equipment are properly authorized, accounted for, and maintained.
Review all command activities relating to the receipt, storage, inventory, procurement, and management of supplies and property.
Review supply documents to ensure authorized items are on hand in sufficient quantities and do not exceed authorized levels.
Establish procedures for requisitioning, maintaining, and issuing authorized items to customers.
Perform internal management control reviews of supply operations for compliance and assurance that proper controls are in place, operational, and effective to properly manage all supply assets.
Coordinate with appropriate authority to maintain an accurate Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA).
Utilize supply automated web-based systems to research and develop management for property accounting.
Support the organization’s supply operations by developing, directing, and recommending plans, procedures and regulations to ensure continuing and effective supply operations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 25 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Conducting property management and accountability procedures for property accounts; Monitoring the requisition, issue, transfer, receipt, storage/security, inventory and disposal of expendable and non-expendable supplies and equipment; Forecasting long-range equipment support requirements for operational and training activities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09)

Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Supply,

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the second lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
