Duties
Provide software support for C2 systems in IT functions such as software development, software testing and evaluation, quality assurance, information assurance information security.
Design and implement new requirements and modifications to existing software.
Design software modifications.
Evaluate software designs and evaluate systems configurations and monitors implementation.
Evaluates test and quality assurance plans in order to analyzes system functional operations.
Provide IT advice, assistance and training to customers.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Occasional travel may be required for this position.
- One year probationary period may be required.
- This is an army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management certification within 36 months as of entrance of duty.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. To qualify you must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below based on the grade level required of the position being filled: and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:
(1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: completing thorough and accurate work independently, even in the most difficult or stressful situations; often reviewing work completed by others;
(2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: resolving routine and non-routine problems, questions, or complaints; developing and maintaining strong, mutually supportive working relationships with customers; conducting evaluation of support to determine quality of services and customer satisfaction, and recommending procedural changes based on customer need or changes in policy and/or regulation;

Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to perform the duties of the position. Specialized Experience is defined as having one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Developing and analyzing software design and programming in an agile framework; 2) Provide end to end solution delivery for information technology related products and 3) Providing information technology troubleshooting, assistance and guidance to customers and peers.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11/NH-02).
CECOM is participating in an alternative personnel system known as the Acquisition Demonstration Project. This position is subject to the Command's policy regarding control points. The NH-03 pay band is equivalent to the GS-12, Step 01 to GS-13, Step 10; this position, is subject to an internal organization control point at the NH-03 Non-Supervisory Journey Professional control point of the CECOM control point policy.
