You will serve as an INVESTIGATIVE SUPPORT SPECIALIST in the Senior Officials Investigation (SOI) Division of OFFNAVINSGEN WASHINGTON DC.

Duties

You will be responsible for receiving, entering, retrieving, analyzing and tracking investigative data across multiple case management and software systems. You will perform life cycle investigative support management of complaints including intake, analysis, electronic and hard copy records management, status tracking and reporting, monitoring corrective action and case closeout. You will review incoming complaints and establishes electronic and/or hard copy records, enters data into case tracking and/or software system and routes complaint appropriately. You will manage and coordinate FOIA suspense and tracking of correspondence including reports of investigation regarding Congressional inquiries. You will prepare correspondence and reports in response to written and oral inquiries from complainants, Congress, DoD OIG, or senior DON leadership. You will be responsible for opening new cases in case management tracking system; ensuring required documentation is uploaded and Investigative/Action Officer assigned. You will prepare briefing slides for Division Director and Special Assistant meetings and SOI Tracker as well as reconciliation of SOI data with N4 weekly reports. You will coordinate and obtain legal sufficiency reviews of reports of investigation. You will collaborate closely with SOI investigators and conducts scheduled and periodic reviews of the electronic case management and software systems to screen, analyze, track, and report investigative case documentation.

  • You will be required to possess and maintain a SECRET/SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Worldwide travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying advanced investigative concepts, principles, and practices to analyze and investigate a wide range of inquiries and investigations; Interpreting regulations and laws to analyze information and compile reports for higher level review; Conducting meetings and briefings with senior management officials to effectively present issues, trends, and support investigative findings; and Evaluating and interpreting complaints, inquiries, and written correspondence to determine the method of response. GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying knowledge of federal regulations, policies, and procedures as they apply to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and processing to determine relevant source material, establish procedures, and obtain pertinent data; Preparing clear, concise, and accurate written communications for higher level review; and Using computer software programs to analyze, input, and upload data.
