About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Joint Interagency Task Force South, C41 Systems Directorate, C41 Systems Engineering DIV, U.S. Southern Command, Key West, FL, 33040.

Duties

Knowledge of the value of collected information and the methods of sharing that information throughout an organization. Indexes, catalogs, stores and manages access to organizational knowledge. Supports and implements change and configuration management relating to the KM program. Performs continuous review and management of KM program policies and procedures. Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools (for example, surveys, system performance measures) to assess the effectiveness and practicality of information technology systems. Utilizes qualitative and quantitative assessment techniques to review, evaluate and implement improvements to business processes. Develops workflows in Power BI and Power Apps. Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques of information technology (IT) assessment, planning, management, monitoring, and evaluation IT baseline assessment, interagency functional analysis, contingency planning, and disaster recovery. Identifies measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system. Knowledge of the organization’s enterprise information technology (IT) goals and objectives. Identifies a need for and knows where or how to gather information, organizes and maintains information or information management systems. Skill in conducting audits or reviews of technical systems.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a T5 (or equivalent) investigation.
  • Requires Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 5% of the time.
