Duties
You will research, correlate and summarize data and prepare justification to defend budget estimate.
You will support the preparation of monthly/annual spend plans and monitor execution; incorporate changes in program parameters, funding levels, and requirements.
You will analyze daily Status of Funds report to ensure obligation rate remains at required levels.
You will reconcile funds to ensure execution is in accordance with established policy.
You will prepare correspondence for submission to higher authority or other components that clearly articulate funding levels and requirements.
Requirements

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases
Qualifications
GS-11: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing analytical analysis of budget formulation and execution AND providing advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities.
GS-09: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Reviewing or evaluating financial data for budget formulation, cost estimates; and report financial obligations and expenditures.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-09:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree.
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree.
or

GS-11:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
