This position serves as the program analyst for the Safe Patient Handling and Mobility program (SPHM) and the High Reliability Organization (HRO) program within the Office of Patient Safety within the Executive Director's Service at the Oklahoma City Health Care System (OCHCS).
Duties
Major duties of this position include but are not limited to:
Develops organizational strategies for identifying opportunities to improve overall targeted metrics, customer service and quality service.
Provide support in data management, gather, compile, and analyze data from multiple sources which may require reconciliation of multiple reporting requirements and formats, ensuring accurate information.
Establishes protocols for incoming data, organizes written and computerized data, and retrieves data.
Schedule all classes/meetings for SPHM and HRO programs.
Possesses knowledge of standard qualitative and quantitative techniques for analyzing and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of administrative and technical programs, and patient administration and processing operations.
Handles daily operations in relation to program coordination to include both the training of volunteers and supervisors in other services.
SME in entering data, validating data, and preparing reports to be presented to executive level committee's and submitted for nation action items and data requests.
Compiles all the necessary documentation and information by organizing a project management team.
Provide expert onsite training and collaboration with healthcare system employees to address clinical care issues and solve problems as they relate to the SPHM and HRO programs.
Performs audits and special studies to evaluate program effectiveness.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30pm

Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary in nature but may periodically require lifting no more than 50 pounds. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Incumbent may periodically be required to work offsite with outreach programs.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 10/06/2023.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05 level.
For a GS-09 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07 level.
For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09 level.
The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.

Specialized Experience GS-07: Specialized Experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Applicants may qualify for this position by using their work experience, education, or a combination of both experience and education. To qualify for this position, applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade of GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience for this position includes but is not limited to, experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: Develops organizational strategies for identifying opportunities to improve overall targeted metrics, customer service and quality service; Assist in providing onsite training and collaboration with healthcare system employees to address clinical care issues and solve problems as they relate to the SPHM program.

Education: Applicant may also based their qualification for this position on education. At this level, applicants are required to have successfully completed1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement.

Combination: Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for all grade levels for which both education and experience are acceptable. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.

Applicants may qualify for this position by using their work experience, education, or a combination of both experience and education. To qualify for this position, applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade of GS-07 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience for this position includes but is not limited to experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction. Specialized Experience GS-11: Specialized Experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Applicants may qualify for this position by using their work experience, education, or a combination of both experience and education. To qualify for this position, applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade of GS-09 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience for this position includes but is not limited to experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: SME in entering data, validating data, and preparing reports to be presented to executive level committee's and submitted for nation action items and data requests; Serves as the responsible contact for leading projects from initiation to completion and may be required to present the results to senior leadership throughout the Medical Center; Compiles all the necessary documentation and information by organizing a project management team.
