About the Position: This position is Permanent as a Supply Management Specialist with the HQ United States Army Training Center, Chief of Staff, G-4, Ft. Jackson, SC.
Situational Telework Only, Including emergency and OPM prescribed unscheduled telework.
Duties
Accomplish supply management, procurement, warehousing, maintenance oversight, and property accountability functions.
Prepares reports, correspondence, etc., related to the functions of the section.
Maintains contacts to discuss changes in procedures, to improve operations, to identify trends, deviations or deficiencies reflected and to determine corrective action required related to the operation of the section.
Responsible for monitoring annual consumable budgets over $1 million.
Conducts extensive fact-gathering and analysis of information as well as in-depth knowledge of the foresight required in taking or recommending actions for the USATC .
Responsible for requisition, receipt, accounting, control, issue, storage, lateral transfer, return and disposal of expendable, non-expendable, standard, non-standard, medical and durable items and equipment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) providing technical assistance related to supply functions (requisition, receipt, accounting, control, storage, transfer, and return of items and equipment) 2) providing input to an organization's budget in support of logistic requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
