About the Position: This position is located at Army Health Clinic Moncrief, Fort Jackson, South Carolina.

Duties

Serve as the single point of contact between the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) and the DMLSS technical and functional support net. Review, recommend, and advises on the priority ranking and submission of system change requests (SCR) and or the consideration of submissions. When database are out of alignment, independently takes corrective action that may require coordination with installation or higher level headquarters. Review supply management system instructions/developmental plans, proposals, specifications/requirements, and provides pertinent data, technical ramifications and advice to management, as a basis for determination and action. Oversee the daily operation of the system, performing daily systems checks, backups, and assistance with the development of management reports, assistance with DMLSS obligations, updates, tests and other duties as required.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing a wide variety of supply program analysis functions; using automated supply and/or production databases; and advising and/or recommending improvements to the effectiveness of work methods and procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Logistics Management.. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Database Management SystemsOrganizational AwarenessOrganizational Performance Analysis Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the second lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
