You will serve as a MANAGER in the EXPEDITIONARY SYSTEMS ENGINEERING DIVISION, RANGE SYSTEMS ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV.

Duties

You will serve to promote organizational technical capability, oversight, and rigor through in-depth subject matter expertise in ordnance and explosives life-cycle logistics. You will manage and enable rigorous logistics programs for ordnance total life-cycle management. You will provide strategic leadership for technical issues and plans affecting the division's and sponsor's long range goals and requires an in-depth complex systems understanding and approach in order to forecast future trends and outcomes. You will formulate strategies, develops objectives, sets priorities, and leads change consistent with the Command strategic direction and departmental goals. You will coordinate pillar core technical capabilities in terms of ordnance life cycle logistics, safety per NAVSEA OP-5, people, process, tools, and infrastructure and plans for needed or mandated changes in size and composition of staff. You will effectively identify and communicate ordnance logistics requirements across the Division.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level NT-04 (GS-11/12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector identifying ordnance logistics requirements to analyze capabilities of life cycle management programs for the promotion of efficient organizational technical capabilities.
