You will serve as a SUPERVISORY TECHNICIAN in the ORDNANCE OPERATION BRANCH, RANGE SYSTEMS ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV, located in Fallbrook, CA.
Duties
You will serve as a Branch Manager within the Expeditionary Systems Engineering Division and its Pillars, providing branch technical oversight and programmatic leadership internal and external to the organization.
You will be responsible for the execution of the branch's day to day operations and ensure the delivery of quality products on time and within budget.
You will apply Human Capital Management policies and regulations in leading and managing personnel assigned to the branch.
You will administer the branch budget, execute the Command strategic direction, create and promote a shared vision of the organization, and foster cooperation, communication, and consensus among groups.
You will serve to align technical and operational rigor between the Command, Department, Division and Branches with the larger purpose and vision of NSWC Corona and the Expeditionary Ground Weapons and Ammunition Joint.
You will identify and communicate ordnance life cycle requirements across the Division, Department, Command, USMC, US Army Joint PEO Armaments and Ammunition and multiple other Naval and Department of Defense activities.
You will manage and enable rigorous ordnance and weapons operations.
You will oversee complex and challenging projects and tasks with impact on the accomplishment of Joint Service objectives.
You will manage and direct test planning, scheduling, execution, range safety, and operational feasibility approval of test protocols for the testing of Arms, Ammunition and Explosives, and Combat Systems.
You will develop standard operating procedures and conduct operational risk management analysis associated with explosive and non-explosive test operations.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Formulating plans and objectives to provide technical guidance for weapons and ordnance systems projects and programs to include test and evaluation execution.
