This position is located in Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park, in the Maintenance Division. This is a permanent Career/Career-Conditional Full-time appointment. Government housing may be available for this position. The National Park Service has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework only during an emergency or natural disaster. Duties

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing building heating, electrical, and plumbing systems. In a normal year, Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park receives nearly 1 million visitors annually, placing considerable demand on facilities and maintenance staff. The park maintains a suite of historic buildings in various stages of rehabilitation, some of which are rental properties; modern buildings; several trails including the iconic Chilkoot Trail; a historic town site; a camping area; and some green spaces.
