This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer.
Duties
As a Management Analyst, you will:
Conduct detailed analyses of complex functions and work processes of broad administrative or technical programs and make recommendations for improvement in the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations.
Counsel and advise program managers on methods and procedures, management surveys, management reports, and control techniques.
Plan and provide a wide range of advisory and administrative support services to the management staff on all issues that relate to the effective management of the organization's workforce.
Independently, or as a member of a team, conduct broad or specific studies and assess results relevant to workforce goals and objectives.
Review, evaluate, and recommend modifications to workforce objectives and priorities.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-12 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Experience applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to improve the efficiency or effectiveness of program operations; AND
Reporting findings and making verbal and/or written recommendations that are adopted by management; AND
Experience conducting projects and studies to evaluate and recommend ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-12, you must have been at the GS-11 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
