This position is located in the Defense Commissary Agency, Sales, Marketing & Policy Group, Logistics Directorate, US Equipment, property and recycling Division. The incumbent provides complex technical advice, assistance and support of the DeCA Order Processing Point (OPP), East Function, the support center for overseas commissaries.

Duties

The incumbent provides automated fiscal accountability and inventory management support of semi-perishable and perishable subsistence to the Overseas Ordering Point for the European theatre, to include Lajes, Azores, and the Caribbean (Puerto Rico and Cuba) Overseas Ordering Point (OOPs) and select shipments to Cairo, Egypt. Position requires knowledge of the organizational structures, as pertains to the commissary operating system. Provides distribution support of semi-perishable and perishable subsistence to CONUS Commissaries and OCONUS CDC's and CMPP. Position requires extensive knowledge of inventory management operations. Qualifications

You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 2003 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date. Your resume (and/or transcript if necessary) must clearly show that you have the qualifications described below. You can use experience, education, superior academic achievement, or a combination of experience and education to qualify. When using education to meet qualifications you must submit transcripts. See Required Documents for more information. Experience: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level or equivalent to at least GS-07 under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military. Examples of qualifying experience include: Possesses an extensive knowledge of inventory management operations. Monitors performance to identify problems affecting OOP and CDC operations and processes solutions to correct them. Ensures availability of required commodities within the distribution network and internal cataloging and contracting systems. OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL B. or J. D. if related. OR Combination of experience and education. To calculate the combination, divide your total months of experience by 12, then divide your graduate level semester hours by the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study or 18 and add the two percentages. If the total is 100%, you meet the minimum qualifications through a combination of experience and education. You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Additional Requirements that must be met by the closing date: Time-in-grade applies to the promotion of current and former federal employees who hold or have held a permanent GS position in either the competitive or excepted service in the previous 52 weeks, including current employees applying under VEOA. Time after competitive appointment.
