About the Position: Fort Liberty is co-located with Fayetteville, a culturally diverse city. Fort Liberty is centrally located in the beautiful state of North Carolina, which enjoys seasonably palatable weather year round and is surrounded by several colleges and universities. Fort Liberty is two hours from the beach and approximately five hours from the Appalachian Mountains.
Duties
Process, coordinate, validate, and ensure effective operations of one or more military personnel programs including, but not limited to, Enlisted Personnel Manning, Personnel Processing, Contingency Operations/Mobilization, Records Management, etc.
Initiate, maintain service records, and coordinate and conduct Soldier
Readiness Processing (SRP) Team operations, personnel actions, casualty, retirement and separation services for the installation.
Ensure the operation and interface of a variety of automated systems supporting military personnel functions and operations, used to manage service members both locally and service wide.
Responsible for processing separations, retirements, reassignments, personnel service actions, and or related actions for enlisted and officer personnel, and ensuring service records are properly documented.
Provides clerical support to ensure efficient office operations.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing customer service; processing military promotions, actions and military orders (PCS, MOS, and promotion orders.) Maintain military personnel records/actions and ensure changes reflect in supporting systems. Utilizing automated personnel software such as: DA Integrated Systems Management (ISM), Total Officer Personnel Management Information System (TOPMIS), and Enlisted Distribution and Assignment System (EDAS). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Human Resources.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
