You will serve as a Aircraft Launching and Arresting Device Supervisor in the Research & Engineering Group & SE & ALRE Dept., Prototype, and Manufacturing Division of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.
This position is for 2 vacancies. One vacancy in BL41840 and one in BL41820.
Duties
You will disassemble, overhaul, and repair shipboard aircraft launch and recovery equipment (ALRE) hydraulic systems.
You will test shop and shipboard components to verify and document component, equipment, and system conformance.
You will Inspect and maintain shipboard and shore-based catapult, arresting gear, and visual landing aids according to established procedures.
You will coordinate industrial equipment maintenance work among workers and other supervisors to maintain work progress and meet schedules.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to independently perform the most difficult and complex tasks as an expert or have been consulted by other employees in difficult situations performing duties including : 1) Installing, overhauling, testing and repairing Aircraft Launch and Recover Equipment (ALRE) Systems and their associated components and assemblies; 2) Assigning and leading subordinates in repairing and installing ALRE systems and components; 3) Training others on proper work methods of ALRE and Support Equipment; 4) Reading and interpreting ALRE engineering and manufacturing drawings to develop detailed time and cost estimates; 5) Planning the set-up and the sequence of operations required to perform ALRE and SE work; 6) Instructing subordinates on complex operations and procedures.
