Duties
As a REGIONAL ENGAGEMENT ANALYST at the GS-0301-12/13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Serves as an expert analyst in USG and DOD CWMD policy, programs and doctrine with emphasis on execution of DOD activities and developing and implementing strategic plans and policies for the DOD CWMD/CBRN programs in preparing for, responding to, and recovering from CBRN incidents, countering proliferation of WMD material, and disrupting threat networks by implementing and executing operational CBRN programs.
Coordinates implementation of multi-million dollar DOD CBRN preparedness and counterproliferation programs by planning, developing, coordinating, and executing multi-agency, multi-departmental, multi-service, multi-national activities.
Provides responsive, interdisciplinary planning and expert analysis in CWMD policy forums representing DTRA to synchronize DoD CWMD, counterproliferation, and interdiction training efforts within the DoD DOD and with other USG departments and agencies and improve partner nation CBRN preparedness, and their response and counterproliferation capabilities.
Exercises responsibilities for the full range of technical, administrative, and personnel management activities related to the accomplishment of mission-essential goals and objectives in assigned program areas.
Executes DTRA programs and initiatives in conducting partner engagements.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-12, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service:
Performing responsibilities for the full range of technical Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear / Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CBRN/CWMD) experience; and
Administrative work and coordination with U.S. government civilian personnel and contractors, and with U.S. military counterparts related to the accomplishment of mission-essential goals and objectives in assigned program areas; and
Experience with planning, organizing and leading US interagency teams.
You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:
Coordinating with organizations to develop and implement strategic plans and policies; and
Proficiency in preparing international partners to counter proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) related-use materials; and
Providing technical advice to senior representatives and stakeholders; and
Expert knowledge using a variety of communication techniques and methods, i.e., written, oral, print, etc., to develop and disseminate information regarding programs, policies, and actions concerning current operations, both internal and external; and
Demonstrated leadership of diverse teams/organizations.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
