About the Position: This position is being announced at multiple grade levels and may be filled at any grade level announced. If selected at the developmental grade (GS-05 or GS-06), individual may be non-competitively promoted to the full performance targeted level (GS-07) after meeting all regulatory requirements and upon the recommendation of management. Promotion is neither implied nor guaranteed.
Duties
Duties listed below will be performed in a developmental capacity if selected at the GS-05 and GS-06 grade levels . At the full performance, GS-07, the incumbent will:
Reviews human resource (HR) systems for tasks related to preparing, amending and revoking reassignment orders, as well as diversion instructions.
Performs recurring administrative assignments of a routine, difficult, and complex nature.
Reviews and updates officer and enlisted military personnel records and HR systems for various automated and non-automated HR systems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The skills of a qualified typist are required.
- May be required to work other than standard work hours, such as overtime, evenings, weekends, or holidays based upon mission needs.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. GS-05 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing various automated systems and database systems to retrieve and/or query information; maintaining office files; and assisting with customer inquiries (walk-ins, emails or telephonically). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).
OR
Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.

GS-06 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing personnel automated systems and database systems to input, retrieve and/or query information; maintaining personnel and/or administrative office files; and responding to customer inquiries (walk-ins, emails or telephonically).This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
GS-07 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes obtaining and/or verifying information in personnel records is accurate and/or complete utilizing a database such as Installation Support Modules (ISM) or the Integrated Personnel Pay System (IPPS); and completing necessary personnel documents utilizing automated programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, DEERS, etc.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education
Education can only be used at the GS-05 grade level.
